Aspin was released by Championship outfit Preston North End at the end of last season after two years playing for their youth team.
The teenager, who begun his career as a junior at home town club Blackburn Rovers, is a right sided defender or midfielder.
Turned up for a trial with Vics upon his release from Deepdale, impressing in a series of cameos over the summer and earning an opportunity to earn a deal after signing non-contract terms during the opening week of the campaign.
That form was rewarded with a permanent deal in October.
