APPOINTED goalkeeper coach upon his arrival from neighbours Nantwich Town, Jones spent a decade at Swansea at the start of his career.
He made seven appearances in that time, taking in loan spells at Spanish club RCD Mallorca, Crewe Alexandra and Bristol Rovers before joining the latter where he played 96 times.
A £50k transfer took him to Stockport County in 2000, where he made 84 starts ahead of a move to Blackpool.
Jones turned out 93 times for the Blooomfield Road club before being released in January 2007.
Stayed briefly at Darlington before joining Nantwich Town.
