A RECENT letter from Alan Lowe predicted disaster for the country on the decision to leave the EU.
There were his usual negative ramblings and sour grapes aimed at anyone who does not agree with him.
Mr Lowe says “as a historian could he point out that since the formation of the EU there had been no wars for more than 70 years in Western Europe”.
I would have thought that as a historian Mr Lowe would have known that it was the creation of Nato in 1949 that has achieved and maintained peace in Europe – an organisation that the UK will still remain a leading member of.
And while he is checking these facts he may like to look up the meaning of a democratic vote and accept the decision made by the majority.
If not, perhaps he could just relocate to Europe and his problems would be solved?
